I've been to Florence a few times in the last years and have always stayed in the centre. Montebello was the best I've been in so far.
›› As we arrived at the hotel I was pleasantly surprised: the hotel is much better than in the photos! It seems to enter a small village decorated in every single details.
›› The location was excellent as it was about a 15 minute stroll down the Arno to the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza Della Signoria.
›› Service is outstanding. From breakfast, through to the small hours of the morning drinking martinis on the terrace, the staff are attentive, pleasant and exceeding all expectations.
Overall it was just the extra treat we wanted to have during the Florence leg of our multi-city vacation.
