I've been to Florence a few times in the last years and have always stayed in the centre. Montebello was the best I've been in so far.

The location was excellent as it was about a 15 minute stroll down the Arno to the Ponte Vecchio and the Piazza Della Signoria.
Service is outstanding. From breakfast, through to the small hours of the morning drinking martinis on the terrace, the staff are attentive, pleasant and exceeding all expectations.
